The Zydus School for Excellence was founded in 2002 under the aegis of Ramanbhai Foundation and is supported by Zydus Cadila. The school has two campuses – The Zydus School for Excellence, Vejalpur, affiliated to the ICSE Board and Zydus School for Excellence, Godhavi affiliated to the CBSE board. Both the schools educate 1500 young minds and operate with faculty strength of over 100 teachers.
The school has a proud tradition of excellence and encouraging children to think differently and independently with a curriculum that provides for the same. It offers a broad curriculum centered on high standards of literacy and numeracy. They also have a strong focus on technology in learning and integrate IT in their teaching methods. As a matter of fact, their teaching methodology is a mix of traditional and play-way methods of teaching & learning with theme-based teaching at pre-primary level.
The students are also exposed to the challenging environment of the real world and are encouraged to participate in examinations conducted by external agencies like Macmillan, Science, Math and Computer Olympiads, Hindi and Sanskrit language tests etc. A lot of emphasis is also laid on the student’s literary skills and apart from English, students are taught Hindi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, French and Japanese languages.
A Zydus School education extends beyond the four walls of the classroom. The students leave the school with an awareness of the world in which they live and a sense of responsibility towards those with whom they share that world.
