The Vibrant Gujarat Summit is India’s premier business summit organized by the State Government to promote investment, economic advancement and social development. The first summit was organized in 2003 and since then the event is an enormous platform for Gujarat to display its strengths, progressive stand, initiatives, investor friendly climate and culture of Gujarat. This year, The Vibrant Gujarat Summit is scheduled for January 11th, 12th and 13th.
More than 105 countries have registered for this year’s event with more than 1800 foreign delegates and around 50,000 delegates from India expected to attend the summit. Some of countries with a higher rate of participation include Sweden, Finland, Italy, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Israel, Poland, Russia, Morocco, Nigeria, Algeria, Somalia, Australia, Thailand and Yunan. Diplomats, industrialist, academia and thinkers, all are going to come together to share thoughts on subjects of sustainability, innovation, youth & skill development, knowledge sharing and networking.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi said that this year’s summit would solely focus on forging knowledge-based strategic partnerships and global collaborations. The Government wants to lay special emphasis on addressing need for youth development, increasing skill development and creating employment opportunities, creating more women entrepreneurs in the society and giving a boost to the sunrise sectors such as green energy.
This year the summit is all set to create a new benchmark by organizing the largest Global Trade Show in the country. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show is across an area of more than 1,00,000 square meters at Exhibition Ground, Near Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar and will be inaugurated on January 8, 2013 by hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
More than 1000 companies from key sectors such as Engineering and Automobiles, Oil & Gas, Energy & Power, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Financial Services, IT & ITeS, Mining & Minerals, Automobiles, Plastics, Textiles and Tourism will participate in this event.
Many players from emerging sectors such as Environmental Technology, Green & Renewable Energy and SME sectors are also showcasing their strength at the Global Trade Show. An interesting display at the event is going to be a concept car designed and studded with thousands of Swarovski Gems, Gold and Silver.
There are 13 domes, 14 exclusive pavilions, more than 1000 stalls and over 25000 products on display and the expected footfall is around 1.5 million people.
