This year started with a buzz of music & lots of events in the city , & while the city enjoyed the Saptak in January , but it seems like there is much more that Amdavadis has yet to witness, after the musical concert by Shamisen expert Baisho Matsumoto as part of Indo-Japan culture , it was time for some Indo-French culture to kick in.
Amdavadis were pleased to have another soulful evening from sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan along with sons Amaan & Ayaan Ali Khan & cords collective – Francois Guillou, Vincent Guillou Stephane Escoms . It was part of Alliance Francaise’s ongoing Bonjour India festival & was held at Gujarat University Convention Centre on 3rd March. This musical event was again another step of Indo-French jugalbandhi going on in Aapnu Amdavad. This musical creation was directed by Samuel Jean and written by Pierre Thilloy.
And as usual, Amdavadis were thrilled to enjoy the event . Looking at such fusion of culture & people enjoying them it seems like sooner Ahmedabad might be one of the cities where you will be able to see the glimpses of culture from all around the world, kind of Global Village in its own sense.
