Ahmedabad has had a long term relation with the humble Pizza. From the famous Indianized version of the ‘Italian Peeja’ with ‘tameta souse’ and processed cheese – available at roadside joints, to international Pizza chains (with their tweaked menus catering to the Indian taste buds), we’ve indeed come a long way.
Of late, the humble pizza has seen many an interesting twist and is now available in amazing varieties.
The latest entrant in this yummylicious fraternity is Puffizza. Located at 103, Kairos, Near Manav Mandir, Drive In Road, Gurukul, Puffizza has added a very refreshing twist to this crowd pleasing twist.
Move over standard dough bases – the Puff crust is now in town. Combining the flaky, buttery goodness of puff pastries with an array of toppings and sinfully melted cheese, Puffizza offers some great new experiences to the discerning palate.
The garlic breads on the menu are actually squares of puff pastry topped with some delicious cheese.
The pizzas are available with the regular crust, thin crust and the Puff crust. While regular and thin crusts are available at a multitude of joints, the real game changer is the puff crust. The puff crust is lighter than the traditional dough based crusts and affords a different taste and texture to the eater. The toppings and cheese are fresh and tasty as well. Surprisingly, the prices are not over the top.
The small yet quaint place has bright lighting and an open kitchen. Youngsters would especially love to hang out at this place.
All in all, a must try out location for food lovers in general and adventurous pizza eaters in particular.
