Earlier, the school was situated near Gujarat College, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad but now it has been moved to Bodakdev. The Bodakdev building infrastructure includes library, playground, computer lab, separate laboratory for Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics experiments, auditorium and a seminar hall. The school also follows the traditional test methods for higher secondary sections where they conduct regular weekly tests. The laboratory has all the necessary equipments for experimental purpose. To showcase their talents and build up their confidence PHSS has an auditorium with a capacity of 600 students. The school also has regular prayer where all the students pray together. It has a mix of educational and cultural events where they celebrate Teacher`s Day, Navratri Festival, Elocutions with secondary and higher secondary students and a variety of creative competitions like Fancy Dress , Drawing competition etc. for kids.
Not only student’s academic achievements are famous from this school but of the faculties as well. In 2007, CBSE awarded 13 best educationists in India in New Delhi where the English Faculty of higher secondary section of the school Mahalakshmi S Iyengar was also awarded.
The logo of the school has an interesting concept. It is not only highly artistic but is also symbolic of the school. The ‘Veena’ and the ‘Pustak’ (book) represents the Goddess of knowledge i.e. Goddess Saraswati and the strong flame represent the Light of Knowledge. In the aura of this light , the circular aura represents the integrated education where we see the name of the institution. The logo also has a key prayer at the bottom ‘Lead us from Untrue to Truth.’ As per the members of the Prakash Trust, the logo conveys symbolically all for which ‘Prakash’ stands and works for i.e. to show the path of knowledge to its students.
