The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, was formerly known as the food Craft Institute and was established in 1972 by Government of India, Ministry of Tourism. In 1984, it was upgraded to full fledge institute of Hotel Management. The institute has become one of the premier institutes in the country since then. It is affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management, (An Apex Body Under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India), Noida.
The institute offers three-year Degree program i.e., B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration with an intake capacity of 243 number of students every year. Admission to the program is carried out on the basis of scores obtained in Joint Entrance examination (JEE). Higher Secondary education from a recognized board of examination is the minimum educational qualification required. Those who have studied English as a subject are only eligible to apply. The upper age limit for this course is 22 years.
