Gujarati Play: “Tales of Tears” in Ahmedabad

Apna Adda brings to you “Tales of Tears” a 40 minutes Gujarati play that revolves around the communal riots of 2002 and the hatred that followed for years to come.

Directed by Kabir Thakore, the play takes us through the journey of the protagonist – Anahita, a young lawyer who fights a legal battle for her father who is accused of leading a mob and participating in a gang rape. Kabir Thakore and Paresh Vyas have written this powerful play so effectively that it subtly highlights how women are often the victims of hatred.
