A little café nestled in between the many high profile restaurants, Raisin Café was many a times forgotten about. But that’s not the case anymore. Centrally situated on the Prahladnagar Road, the newly renovated Raisin Café demands attention. With brick walled interiors, strategically placed chrome lights and paintings of people enjoying their meals, everything about Raisin Café will appease your appetite. And you haven’t even viewed the menu card as yet!
The menu is new, with the old favourites being the most ordered. So we ask the servers in a very Gujju accent, “Bhaiyya, special kya hai?” He won’t say much. Probably, murmur something or simply point toward the falafel bar. Yes, the falafels, if not out of this world, are out of the city at least. Not even the best restaurants serving Mediterranean cuisine in Ahmedabad can come close to the rich, authentic flavours that perfectly blend in the falafel. And the health conscious people can do the happy dance as they even offer the healthier wheat bread option.
Moving on, the Vegetable Skillet and Ravioli are a few personal choices. The Flavoured Maggi is worth exploring. It is perhaps the only Café in Ahmedabad to have a Maggi bar which serves Desi Masala, Cream Cheese & Thai Maggi!
Raisin Café is a quiet place to dine out with your beloved or a long lost friend. The warm, tasteful food will add to the intriguing conversations. The club songs playing in the background will lift up the mood. Unlike other restaurants in Amdavad, this one is not noisy and generally ensures you a table even during the Sunday rush.
With a mix of high and low seating, Raisin Café gives an old school vibe which is comfortable. If you are searching for a quiet place with healthy, mostly tasty, appetite filling food which is also good on the pocket on an average of 200 to 250, I would highly recommend a visit to this cafe.
