If you are dreaming of Starbucks in Ahmedabad, then stop thinking and head straight to Java+ at Courtyard by Marriott Ahmedabad. Java+ is Ahmedabad’s swankiest coffee bar which opened today.
The brand Java+ is present at Marriott Hotels in Singapore, Manila – Philippines and Suzhou – China. And now Java+ is launched for the first time in India at Courtyard by Marriott Ahmedabad. From my personal experience I can say just one thing, the city has never seen anything like this before. Ahmedabad has seen the rise and fall of many coffee spots and tea lounges, but the 24 hour Java+ beats them all.
The minute you step into Java+, the aroma of freshly brewed coffees sets the mood of the space. The coffee bar is divided into two spaces – indoors and outdoors. The indoors are beautifully designed with textured walls and vintage dark wood furniture by designer Michael Thonet. The open to sky courtyard has a vertical garden and is ideal if you would like to smoke while you sip some coffee. All the elements of the space design complement each other perfectly to create an iconic image of a rustic European café.
Talking about the menu, the menu has been hand crafted in-house by Executive Chef Satej Saigaonkar, Director of Operations Rahul Maini and Food & Beverage Manager Sanjeev Mandal. The cafe is essentially based on the format of quick service. Therefore, you can pick the beverage of your choice from the menu written on the wall and select a quick bite from the pastry cooler.
The expansive beverage menu offers the regular favourites as well as single origin coffees from Colombia, Java and Ethiopia. If you are true coffee lover, you would definitely be pleased to know that Java+ serves Lavazza coffee, one of Italy’s premium coffee brands.
Also on offer is an eclectic collection of teas from China, Japan and the estates of Assam and Darjeeling. Since Java+ is 24 hour coffee bar, the food served will change according to the time of the day. Mornings would have breakfast specialty items and as the day proceeds, the menu could vary from salads to sandwiches to chocolate cones. The food menu includes the unconventional ‘Maggie burger’ and ‘cronuts’ while also specializing in baked and cold cheesecakes, grilled pancake rolls, cookies and macaroons. My personal recommendations are their signature Java Chip+ coffee, Thai Iced Tea and New York Cheesecake.
Moreover, Java+ has something additional for bike lovers. They have created a HOG spot, a special section dedicated to the Harley Owners’ Group, which has on display selected Harley Davidson memorabilia.
If you love what you sip, then you can buy Lavazza’s premium coffee varieties, Sri Lankan teas by Dilmah, high end cigars and super premium ice creams by Häagen Dasz at Java+.
Overall, all I can say is that Java+ takes the experience of caffeinated beverages to a whole new level with its mesmerising aura, delicious beverages and delectable food.
