Eklavya School’s 35-acre campus is located in the green pristine surroundings of Sanathal village in the southwestern part of Ahmedabad. The school was established in June 1997 and welcomes students from Nursery to Class 12. It is one of the distinguished schools in Ahmedabad that are affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
Eklavya School combines its strong and relevant traditions with a well-defined ethos to provide students with not only high quality education but also all-round development. The school has 110 professional, enthusiastic, merit selected educators that provide a broad range of subjects and innovative activities that are tailored to the needs of the 1300 students. Each student, through the fostering of individual talents and interests, is encouraged to realize their full potential and achieve success and fulfillment in a rapidly changing world. It is because of the school’s constant emphasis on overall development, the school’s current and former students have excelled in their academic, cultural, civic and sporting achievements.
The best practice at this school is that they don’t restrict themselves just to educating the students. The educators of the school conduct home visits once a year to understand the child in his/her environment and thus building a storinger rapport between the school, child and the parent. Every fortnight they also conduct an hour’s workshop wherein the educators share with the mothers the concepts and methodologies that are going to be taught in the next 2 weeks. This in a sense creates a platform for effective parent – educator partnership.
Eklavya School provides a learning environment, which helps students inculcate ‘a sense of purpose’ in whatever they do and make the learning process a pleasure and adventure, so that they acquire knowledge to weigh and consider outcomes with reason and discrimination.
