Sarkhej Roza was built in honour of Shaikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Baksh. He was a Sufi saint and a friend of Mohammed Ahmed Shah; the then ruler of Ahmedabad city. Sarkhej Roza is a very quiet and beautiful place, and during monsoons one can relive the glory days of this magnificent monument. An early morning visit to Sarkhej and you will know why we are also known as a heritage city.
