Every Sunday is a new chapter, a new beginning; a day when we don’t listen to others. No school, no college, no work, no responsibilities; it is just us and our dreams. Living in a heritage city, explorations come naturally to most of us. I like wandering around in the old city, meeting people, finding out about our city’s history but most of all I love my Sunday because I want to capture every moment and relive it for the next 6 days; till I reach my next beloved day to make new memories.
Just last Sunday a bunch of photographers from the “Ahmedabad Sunday Photowalker’s” club went to Dada Harir ni vav, a beautiful step well in Asarva. This place is also referred to as Dada Hari ni vav (stepwell). It is a stunning architectural piece which is situated inside our crowded city and still it goes unnoticed. We see signage on the city roads, and Google maps to reach this step-well; but still we are always busy. So how about we go out this Sunday and explore our heritage city? Let us get rid of our laziness; because our city, our history, our HOME deserves one look from us. The moment we start appreciating our HOME, our life here is bound better. Instead of cribbing over why the city doesn’t have anything else other than movies and malls; go out and dedicate your day to one of the many heritage buildings and see it for yourself that how these amazing structures were created and are restored. Here is something to motivate you.
