Ahmedabad has an impression that the only recreation the city has to offer are multiplexes and malls. The fact is most people dont know which places to visit for recreational purposes.
This weekend, as a part of Gujarat Krushi Mahotsav 2013, a Fish Exhibition was organized at Sanskar Kendra in Ahmedabad. There were around 20 stalls of different fish aquarium owner from all over ahmedabad and places around Ahmedabad. Fishes on display include: flowerhorn, gold fish, piranha, angel fish, zebra fish, beta fish aka fighter fish etc. and information on each fish is also provided. It is a great visual experience especially because even though you might be a fish lover, there are so many fish species that you may not know existed. The tanks had fabulous decoration. Some had bouncing dragons, lord krishna, lovely mermaids, guys fishing, little house and treasure box as they were in the movie – Finding Nemo! Some of you may not know this, but some fishes are very rare and were priced at Rs 60,000/- to Rs.80,000/- at the exhibition.
If you own fishes at home like me, you will be delighted to see the different types of fishes, fish food, aquarium accessories, decorations etc. that are on sale at this exhibition. If you own an aquarium or have a desire to own one, you should visit this exhibition.
