The person who has been a role model not only for me but for the entire generation, zillions of fans around the world, the best wicket keeper of the world and you know  I am talking about Adam ‘Gilli ‘ Gilchrist. He is best known for his hard hitting skills, excellent creativity behind the stumps and most importantly for his EPIC gesture of walking away against Sri Lanka in the 2003 world cup semi final and since then has been acknowledged as ‘a walker’ with due respect.

Voila, the man himself was at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University amongst a huge fan fare. I am sure there will be a million heartbreaks in and around Ahmedabad after we disclose this news.

A high level delegation from University of Wollongong, Australia, visited the committee at PDPU yesterday. The delegation was headed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wollongong, Prof. Paul Wellings and Mr. Adam Gilchrist, the brand ambassador of the University of Wollongong. As a continuing commitment to provide international exposure to PDPU students, an MoU was signed with the University of Wollongong yesterday to facilitate inter-university research, student and faculty exchange and industry-academic linkages.

The MoU was signed at PDPU Auditorium at 1:00 pm amidst a jam packed Auditorium full of Adam Gilchrist fans wishing to have a glimpse of the swashbuckling star.
