Aura Herbal Textiles Limited has organized a unique workshop on sustainable textile processes using organic cotton and natural dyes. The whole world talks about sustainable business practices and production processes, but this is one of the few workshops that actually teach you how to inculcate sustainability. The workshop will teach the participants how to create patterns of colour on organic cotton and silk with a range of plant materials and herbal colours without the use of any synthetic chemicals.
Sustainability experts and patent holder master dyer Mr. Arun Baid will conduct this 2-day workshop. The workshop will be a mix of discussions and practical training and will include topics such as current scenario of sustainable textiles, dyes and colours available in nature, block printing and screen printing, testing of natural dyed fabrics etc. The workshop will also include a factory visit. This exciting workshop will leave you with an insatiable curiosity and completely expanded approach to natural dyeing and how to minimize negative impact on the earth.
The workshop is scheduled for 25th and 26th May 2013 from 9.00 AM till 5.00 PM. The fees per participant are Rs. 5000/- and pre registration is mandatory as seats are limited.
